Privacy
This page describes how Social Verdict currently works.
The text you submit
- When you run a check, the text you pasted is sent to our server and forwarded to our AI provider, TypeSafe, which evaluates it and returns structured answers. Their own terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.
- Our application does not intentionally store submitted text, and does not write it to our logs or analytics.
- Please don't paste other people's private or identifying information, such as full names, phone numbers or addresses.
Analytics
We record a few anonymous events: a verdict was completed, a share button was clicked, a share was completed, or "try another" was clicked. Each event contains only:
- which check was used, the verdict band and a rounded score bucket,
- for shares, which share option and method was used,
- if you arrived through a link with campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), those tags.
Events never contain your text or any account identifier. They are kept as log entries in our hosting provider's logging system for a limited time.
Hosting and request data
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes normal request metadata (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to deliver and protect the site, and may retain it according to its own policies and our log settings. Your IP address is also used briefly to limit how many requests can be made in a short time.
Cookies and browser storage
- We do not set cookies, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Campaign tags from a tagged link are kept in your browser's session storage and cleared when you close the tab.
- The site loads no third-party scripts or fonts.
Sharing
"Share my verdict" shares the verdict, the score and a link, never your text. On the send and cringe checks, "Share full result" adds a short, labeled excerpt, and only when you choose it. The overreacting and red flag checks never share any of your text.
What we don't do
- No user accounts or profiles.
- No history of your checks.
- No sale of user data.
Changes
If the product changes, for example if advertising is added, this page will be updated before or at the same time, and the date above will change.
